England has chosen their final training squad that will be cut down to a 23 man squad by the Tuesday before the opening Six Nations game against Wales at Millenium Stadium on February 6, 2015. Those rugby players not making the cut will be released back to their respective clubs.

Some big names chosen for the 34-man England training squad are Owen Farrell, George Ford, Danny Cipriani and Harlequins veteran Nick Easter who join five British and Irish first string Lions recalled after injury. Also back are Mako Vunipola, Tom Youngs, Geoff Parling, Dan Cole, and Alex Corbisero.

Gifted playmaker Cipriani is running the back line with style and quality for Sale this season. However at the international rugby competition level, his kicking skills may not be up to par compared to top-drawer Farrell’s and Ford’s success rates. Twenty-seven-year-old Cipriani made two impressive cameos in the autumn Tests and has been working hard to earn a spot on the England first division squad according to England coach Lancaster.

Lancaster stated that he believes Nick Easter also deserves the chance to prove himself at the international level after Ben Morgan’s injury took him out of the tournament.

More rugby players out with injuries for the Wales match are Courtney Lawes, Manu Tuilagi, Ben Foden, Joe Launchbury, and Ed Slater.
