England plays Rugby World Cup final against South Africa

England caused a small shock on the 2019 Rugby World Cup by eliminating two times defending champions New Zealand. The All Blacks were the big favourites to win this tournament, but England managed to eliminate them in the semi-finals of the RWC. In the other semi-final South Africa won against Wales, which means the 2019 Rugby World Cup final will be England versus South Africa.

England v New Zealand

Before the final England already went into the battle by disturbing the traditional Haka of their opponents. England took place in a V formation during the Haka, which may lead to a serious fine because some players stood illegally on the opponents’ half. When the match started, England was the dominant force from start to end. England kept attacking for the entire match and eventually won 19-7.

South Africa v Wales

South Africa defeated Wales with 19-16 in what was quite a messy game. Handre Pollard was the big man in this game. His kicks were responsible for 14 out of the 19 points for South Africa. The second semi-final was a complete other match compared to the first semi-final between England and New Zealand, but nobody in South Africa who cares about it. The two-times World Champion will face England in the final on Saturday.
