England beats Wales during Six Nations tournament

In the Six Nations League, the English rugby players have defeated Wales in-house for the first time in six years with 20-10. Earlier today, Ireland won 34-20 in Rome in Rome.

Prince William present

In front of 75,000 spectators, including the British Prince William and his wife Catherine, England dominated the first half and was on the scoreboard, thanks to a successful try of Anthony Watson. Immediately after the break, Louis Rees-Zammit intercepted a pass and scored to give Wales a lead briefly. It didn't last long.

Kyle Sinckler

Kyle Sinckler gave England the lead again a few minutes later. Wales could not find his way through a well -organized English defense. With five minutes left, Ollie Lawrence scored a try in the corner. Sour for the Wales fans, the third defeat again, and a small boost for England. But there is work to be done for both teams.

Wooden spoon

The two countries have not done this Six Nations League much. Coaches from both teams were sent out, but the new coaches Warren Gatland (Wales) and Steve Borthwick (England) are not playing. Wales must now ensure that they do not get the 'Wooden Spoon', the name for the great loser of the tournament.

Owen Farrell

Owen Farrell has to work anyway. Of the five penalties, he only cashed in two in this competition. He thought that was a bit lean. "I wasn't great from the tee," he told the BBC afterwards.

Upcoming

England has two more matches to play this tournament. On the 11th of March they will face France at home. A week later they close this tournament against Ireland. The conclusion is clear: with the World Cup after the summer approaching, there is still a world to be won, and not only on meters on the rugby field.
