2025-2026 Champions League tickets

It feels like the season is speeding towards the end at the moment. Cup tournaments are reaching the final stages, while the Premier League almost knows it champion and relegated teams. That’s why we wanted to have a look into the tickets for the 2025-2026 Champions League season. In this article we discuss the teams that already secured a ticket and the ones that are still in contention for one.

Tickets secured

The results in Europe went pretty much in favour of the Premier League teams. That means the league has secured a fifth ticket for the upcoming Champions League season. So the entire top 5 in the Premier League will be playing Champions League football next season. Still there is only one team that actually secured a title, champions elect Liverpool are currently the only English side that knows they will play in the Champions League next season.

Still in contention

With just 1 ticket gone, there are still four more tickets to earn. If we look at simple maths these teams are all still in contention:

  • 2. Arsenal 67 points
  • 3. Newcastle United 62 points
  • 4. Manchester City 61 points
  • 5. Chelsea 60 points
  • 6. Nottingham Forest 60 points
  • 7. Aston Villa 57 points
  • 8. Fulham 51 points
  • 9. Brighton and Hove Albion 51 points
  • 10. Bournemouth 49 points
  • 11. Brentford 46 points

Taking away the maths and look at is realistically, we dare to say Arsenal will be one of the teams to take a ticket. They defend a 6 points gap with 4 more games to go. Even though there will be some distraction from the Champions League tie against PSG, Arsenal has enough quality to defend this lead. We also believe we can rule out every team from Fulham and below. This means the remaining three tickets will be divided between Newcastle United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa. To see which of these five teams have the best chance, we look into their fixtures:

Newcastle United fixtures

  • Sunday 4 May 2025 - Brighton vs Newcastle
  • Sunday 11 May 2025 - Newcastle vs Chelsea
  • Sunday 18 May 2025 - Arsenal vs Newcastle
  • Sunday 18 May 2025 – Newcastle vs Everton

Manchester City fixtures

  • Friday y2 May 2025 - Man City vs Wolves
  • Saturday 10 May 2025 - Southampton vs Man City
  • Sunday 18 May 2025 - Man City vs Bournemouth
  • Sunday 25 May 2025 - Fulham vs Man City

Chelsea fixture

  • Sunday 4 May 2025 - Chelsea vs Liverpool
  • Sunday 11 May 2025 - Newcastle vs Chelsea
  • Friday 16 May 2025 - Chelsea vs Man Utd
  • Sunday 25 May 2025 - Nottingham Forest vs Chelsea

Nottingham Forest fixtures

  • Thursday 1 May 2025 - Nottingham Forest vs Brentford
  • Monday 5 May 2025 - Crystal Palace vs Nottingham Forest
  • Sunday 11 May 2025 - Nottingham Forest vs Leicester
  • Sunday 18 May 2025 - West Ham vs Nottingham Forest
  • Sunday 25 May 2025 - Nottingham Forest vs Chelsea

Aston Villa fixtures

  • Saturday 3 May 2025 - Aston Villa vs Fulham
  • Saturday 10 May 2025 - Bournemouth vs Aston Villa
  • Sunday 18 May 2025 - Aston Villa vs Spurs
  • Sunday 25 May 2025 - Man Utd vs Aston Villa

Looking at the current table and these fixtures shows it’s going to be a very exciting final month of this season. Chelsea has by far the hardest run-in and it will be a very hard task for them trying to stay in the top 5. Nottingham can kick the Blues out of the top five when they play their spare match on Thursday against Brentford. If Forest wins, they will be 3 points ahead of Chelsea with 4 more games to go. It would be massive if they go all the way, with Nottingham Forest at home against Chelsea on the final day of the season. But expectations are Chelsea is already out of the race by that day unfortunately.

European ticket

Champions League tickets aren’t just earned through the Premier League. Winning the Europa League also means a direct ticket for the 2025-2026 Champions League. The Europa League semi-finals are Man United vs Athletic Bilbao and Tottenham Hotspur vs Bodo/Glimt. So both Man United and Tottenham are still in the race for a ticket. Dreamscenario would be an all English Europa League final between both clubs to see them in a direct battle for the 6th English Champions League ticket.
