Autumn Internationals: England 31-12 Argentina

England relied on a superb first-half display featuring three tries in a 21-minute spell to see off Argentina 31-12 at Twickenham on Saturday, backing up last weekend's victory over Australia.

England had the match all but won at half-time at 24-6 after Joe Launchbury, Billy Twelvetrees and Chris Ashton all scored tries converted by Owen Farrell, with the flyhalf also kicking a penalty.

But England were poor after the restart until replacement Ben Morgan scored a late try as a capacity crowd was reduced to virtual silence at times.

The win means England are unbeaten at home in 2013, while Argentina have lost their last seven Tests following a winless Rugby Championship.

England are surely in for a tougher match when the All Blscks, seeking to avenge last year's shock Twickenham defeat, arrive at 'headquarters' next weekend.

Meanwhile Argentina will continue their European tour against Wales in Cardiff, with the Pumas looking to repeat their victory over the Six Nations champions in last year's corresponding clash at the Millennium Stadium.
