2015 Rugby World Cup Quarter Final News

Well underway, the 2015 Rugby World Cup hosted by England continues in October at both Twickenham Stadium and Millenium Stadium in Cardiff, UK as the remaining nations battle head-to-head in the fight to lift the Webb Ellis Trophy and for the glory of being named the world’s best rugby team. The RWC is the most prestigious Rugby Union tournament. Matches have taken place at various venues in the United Kingdom including Wembley Stadium and Olympic Stadium in London, Wales’ Millennium Stadium, Villa Park, St. James Park and Eland Road.

The RWC Tournament began with a field of 20 countries on September 18th and ends at the final at Twickenham on Halloween, October 31st. Reigning RWC champions are New Zealand who took home the Webb Ellis Cup in 2011.

Coming up next are the quarter-finals that will be played at Twickenham Stadium and Millenium Stadium

The remaining rugby nations left to compete in the Rugby World Cup 2015 QuarterFinal Round are South Africa, Wales, New Zealand, France, Ireland, Argentina, Australia and Scotland. These teams will fight each other for the Rugby World Cup Semifinal tickets.

Sunday's Rugby World Cup QuarterFinal clash between New Zealand and France in Cardiff will be a treat for fans. The most recent encounter of the two titan rugby union teams was two years ago when the All Blacks defeated France 26-19 in a hard-fought battle.

France is counting on key rugby players Wesley Fofana, Mathieu Bastareaud, Rabah Slimani, Louis Picamoles, and France Captain, Thierry Dusautoir.

Dusautoir, known as the “dark destroyer”, played for France against the All Blacks in the 2007 QuarterFinal win and final defeat in 2011. The flanker began playing rugby at 16.

France prop, Uini Atonio was asked in an interview when and why his family moved to Australia. Atonio remarked, "After the Y2K when everyone was going to die. So we thought, yeah might as well just all go die in Auckland."

Then members of the France side were asked about New Zealand traditional pre-match Haka in Cardiff.

French forwards responded that the All Blacks' haka will “fire them up for a massive effort against the world champions.

Prop Nicolas Mas said: "Such moments are unique, and you remember them forever. The haka is a source of motivation for them, but also for the opponents."

"We would rather focus on the 80 minutes that will come after it, but the haka is an invitation to join the fight. If we want to play a great match, we'll have to be tough. I'm sure that we are all ready to fight until the end," said Benjamin Kayser.
