Eddie Jones has chosen his first 33-man side

EDDIE JONES NAMES ENGLAND'S RSB 6 NATIONS SQUAD

New England National Team manager, Eddie Jones, has chosen his first side for RBS 6 Nations. Amid speculation, Jones has not yet named his skipper for the upcoming Six Nations 2016 Championship that begins in February against Scotland. Australian Jones will delay his announcement of England’s captaincy for a fortnight.

“We’ve got 33 players. That goes down to 23 players. Then it goes down to 15 players. Then I’ll pick my captain,” said Jones after announcing his squad. Rumor has it that Jones is giving Dylan Hartley time to prove his fitness before making a decision. Jones disregarded Hartley’s past record of injury lay-offs and suspensions, selecting Northampton Saint Hartley instead of in-form Tom Youngs. However do not count out Chris Robshaw yet.

Jones’ former team Japan impressed at the recent Rugby World Cup 2015 by operating with immense energy. He hopes to create a similar dynamic energy and enthusiasm with his new England side in time for a good showing at the upcoming Six Nations tournament.

Look for top performances from dangerous key rugby players, Maro Itoje, Josh Beaumont, Sale Sharks, Jack Clifford, Matt Kvesic, Elliot Daly, Marland Yarde, Paul Hill, Anthony Watson, Itoje, George Kruis, and Jamie George. In the aftermath of a disastrous World Cup 2015 early exit, England wants to mentally begin their new manager’s era with a clean slate.

Nineteen of the 33 men chosen for Jones’ side are 25 or under and the average age is just over 24. When the next global tournament in Japan begins in 2019, the majority of England’s new squad will be experienced in the international arena and at the peak of fitness if all goes according to plans.

Due to his men’s inconsistency in midfield, injuries and indecision, Stewart Lancaster could not get his England side prepared in time for them to excel in the recent Rugby World Cup that took place in the UK. Precocious rookies Sam Hill, Ollie Devoto, Henry Slade, and Manu Tuilagi look to be fit and firing.

Owen Farrell is named alongside George Ford as one of just two specialist fly-halves. Seven uncapped players will give a fresh appearance to the side in 2016. There are a total of eight Saracens named. Popular familiar faces include Chris Robshaw, James Haskell and Dylan Hartley, Chris Ashton. Brad Barritt, Tom Wood, Ben Morgan, and Tom Youngs were not named. Most of the squad came up through the Under 20 system. Itoje and Clifford are both Junior World Championship-winning captains.
