STADIO FLAMINIO - Stadio Flaminio is a stadium in Rome. It lies along the Via Flaminia, three kilometres northwest of the city centre, 300 metres away from the Parco di Villa Glori. It was the home of the Italy rugby union national team in its Six Nations tournament home matches for Italy from 2000-11. Stadio Flaminio has a capacity of 32,000 (8,000 covered). The Italian Rugby Federation - FIR announced that it would keep its Six Nations home fixtures in Rome at Stadio Olimpico, and that it would return to Stadio Flaminio once a remodel is completed. Stadio Flaminio hosts Italy matches against the top twenty rugby teams in the world including New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, England, Wales, France, Argentina, Ireland, Tonga, Samoa, Scotland, Canada, Japan, Georgia, Fiji, USA, Romania, Spain, and Namibia.
